Purple fever

Lavender plantations are growing across Romania as they became popular photography locations for families and friends.

In the Western Plain, next to the Romanian-Hungarian border, some farmers began to cultivate the purple flower on smaller areas. One of the them is the Petrișor family, who has a hectare on their farm, between corn and what plantations.

They use the herb for essential oil and lavender water, but also welcomed people from the nearby towns who wanted to take pictures in the colorful plantation.

One the last day before harvest, the choir of the Gheorghe Lazăr High School from Pecica did here a photo session to celebrate four years of activity.

The children sang on the lavender field and took hundreds of pictures, bringing home bouquets as souvenirs.
