Synthetic ice skating to open inside exhibition center in Western Romania

A new synthetic ice skating rink will open in Expo Arad International, Romania’s second largest exhibition center. This will be the first synthetic ice skating rink in Western Romania.

Called “Magic Ice on Expo Arena”, the 420 square meters rink will be inaugurated at the beginning of February and will be open year round in order to attract all kinds of visitors.

Located inside the central pavilion and composed of synthetic plates, it doesn’t need cooling, unlike the other skating rink of the city, managed by the Arad City Hall and used during the year for athletics.

The opening hours of the new ice skating rink will be Monday to Friday between 16:00 – 23:45 and on weekends between 10:00 – 23:45. A ticket will cost 12 lei (EUR 2,6) for 1 hour and 45 minutes, while skate renting is an additional 8 lei (EUR 1,75).

The center has three main pavilions, is owned by the Arad Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture and is located near the DN7 national road, in the Arad West Industrial Park.

Besides the 13 annual fairs and exhibitions held here, the pavilions are rented out for corporate events, conventions, workshops, presentations, balls and wedding receptions.
